A John Lennon biopic of his younger years before the Beatles was even born is coming out this October. I can’t wait to see this one! I’m a Beatle maniac and would love to see the journey leading towards creating the greatest band in history.

This brings me back to junior high when I had to research one of Time Magazine’s 100 persons of the century. I chose the Beatles… but only because Elvis was already taken. So I reluctantly started my research with the help of my dad and aunt (who grew up listening to and idolizing the Beatles) and watched every documentary on the boys from Liverpool. Learning the band’s history and their evolution through culture and music made me fall in love with them and their music. Being able to see what I’ve read about the young lives of John and Paul on the silver screen makes me feel giddy all over.

Here’s a quick synopsis from the film’s site: A lonely teenager, curious and sharp, growing up in the shattered city of Liverpool. Two incredible women clash for his love. Mimi, the formidable aunt who raised him and Julia, the spirited mother who gave him up. Yearning for a normal family, John escapes into music. His fledging genius finds a kindred spirit in the young Paul McCartney. But just as John’s new life begins the truth about his past leads to a tragedy he would never escape.

Alcoholic Ice Cream?

Finding alcoholic ice cream was a complete shock, but about a minute later I thought, “Why hasn’t this been done before?” I’m not much of a drinker but if you can magically combine alcohol and ice cream to create a delicious marriage of flavor? I’m in!

Silver Moon has created a line of ice cream that brings dessert and liqueur together in a carton.

Flavors include Strawberry Daiquiri and Bourbon vanilla Bean. Sorry! Silver Moon is only currently being sold in stores in the San Francisco Bay Area but can be ordered online. Check out Silver Moon’s site for additional flavors and specific locations.

Can you get drunk off of ice cream? I guess I’ll find out sooner or later.

Nail Polish Fun!

I love nail polish and love to wear it all the time. I’ve come across two different types of nail polish that will definitely change up your nail polish collection.I have yet to try them so feel free to comment if you’ve had first hand experience with either of them.

The first is comes from the brand Sula, which has a line of “paint and peel” nail polish. Coming from a very fidgety nail picker, I have a feeling that this nail polish will keep me entertained while in the office. :oP You can find Sula nail polish on Target.com or check out their Web site.

The next mail polish I am fascinated by is cracked nail polish made by BYS Cosmetics. Their nail polish works with a bast color coat and painting the cracking nail polish on top to reveal a dual-tone look. It’s pretty cool and would love to try it out. Apparently you can only get it from Australia so here’s a Web site you can go on and order it. It looks like you can either buy just a single bottle of cracked nail polish or buy a set of three which includes a base color, a cracked nail polish and a top coat.

So go out there girls and try on new styles of nail polish! Have fun with your nails!

Youtube Remixes!

There have been a couple Youtube remixes out there and I have come across my favorites.

The first one is a remix of the famous slap chop commercial with the creepy prostitute beater. I love it!

You have to see this original video before seeing the remix. This is a news segment on a rapist breaking in a woman’s home and her brother is giving him a piece of his mind!

The new video by Eminem. Pretty heavy stuff. Must be some music therapy for both Rihanna and Eminem’s dysfunctional past relationships. This song sounds like an “Airplanes” by B.O.B. version 2.0 but fortunately i love both songs. I sense a new “rap artist-featuring popular singer-mish mash- RnB song” trend happening.

P.S. Why am I so fascinated by Megan Fox?
